TOGETHERNESS

A body of work I shot a couple of months ago. Togetherness is about South Asian women & femme liberation from the violent cis male gaze and society. Inspired by miniature portraitures and Sultana’s Dream written by Begum Rokeya in 1905, Togetherness questions what it looks like to live in a utopia where cis men along with their violence are locked away. What would our world look like if the cis male gaze did not exist? To me, these photographs exemplify just that.
